Visit 7 Mile Beach:
For those that may want to venture to 7 Mile Beach for a day or for a dinner we recommend taking the Cayman Ferry Water Taxi from Kaibo to Camana Bay, you can then grab a cab to wherever you wish! The ferry ride is about 30 minutes and you must purchase your tickets in advance so please visit: https://www.caymanferries.com.ky for tickets and the ferry schedule. Driving is also an option and will take about an hour with no traffic.
Places to eat:
Macabuca - about 15 minutes from Camana Bay; is a great spot for outdoor lunch, beautiful views, and a snorkel!
Lobster Pot - 5 minutes from Camana Bay; indoor/outdoor restaurant for a delicious dinner
Tillies - 5 minutes from Camana Bay; located in the Palm Heights hotel. This is a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Things to do around Rum Point:
Starfish Point: Take a snorkel or a float and go see all the starfish in clear shallow water
Red Sail Sports Activities: This company is located right at Rum Point and they offer a variety of activities. You can schedule a boat excursion, sunset cruise, rent snorkel gear, paddle boards, kayaks, etc...
Stingray City Sandbar: Red Sail Sports offers a variety of different Stingray City excursions. All are boating excursions during different times of the day visiting wild stingrays in shallow water. You can swim and stand in the water with the rays and feed them or stay on the boat if you'd rather!
Lunch/Dinner at Kaibo: This is a casual beach bar during the day; you can wear your swimsuit and hang out on the beach all day and then order some lunch when you're hungry! This is the location for Thursday welcome party but recommend having a lunch or dinner as the food is delish; especially the pizza from outside brick oven.
Hang at Rum Point: This is a public beach with a newly renovated 'Rum Deck' bar for fun beachside cocktails or lunch.
Lunch/Dinner at Solis: Restaurant at Rum Point. This is also a casual beach bar during the day with indoor/outdoor dining. Feel free to wear your swim suit and can head over to Solis or the Rum Deck for lunch.
Lunch/Dinner at Over the Edge: 10 minute car ride from Rum Point. Oceanfront casual dining with very good food!
Lunch/Dinner at Tukkas East End: 25 minute car ride from Rum Point. Oceanfront Indoor/outdoor dining featuring a fusion Australian/Caribbean menu. VERY GOOD! They do serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Harry's favorite restaurant on the island! We would recommend making a reservation for dinner.
